A Great Concept That Doesn't Deliver

Well, I have to admit this is one of the most disappointing films I've seen in a while. What's disappointing is how misleading the box cover was. Quote, "...to uncover a series of private events across the nation...", instead we get one event in a little over an hour of the "Mister L.A. Leather and a private party held in a hotel room. It's really talking about this series, Stud Hunters, and not the DVD enclosed.

It begins well enough, with various shots of the festivities, including some drag queens, guys in bondage, and some hotties dancing in a club. Our host is somewhat of a cute, slightly hairy guy named David. After he dances around a bit with a leather man we find him on the street before entering the hotel room. He enters the room, signs a release, and is told to put his clothes in the back. So far so good. Porns playing around the rooms, the tubs filled with , and we follow David with a handheld camera.

For the next 60 minutes now we see various men in the darkly lit rooms play with their cocks, suck, and have unsafe sex. David blows a guy whose lying on the floor, then plays with others dicks and tries getting them hard. There are lots of shadows and unseen faces of big, burly, hairy men. A few nice cocks here and there, but nothing outstanding. Davids next seen sucking on a big, uncut cock, that's sticking out of a pair of blue briefs, while another guy is rimming his ass. I liked the concept and the whole mystique of this private fuck party but the filming and editing just didn't capture the moment. It's all too quiet too for the most part anyway. If I was in there fucking and sucking whomever you'd hear me boy! Yee-ha! The film ends with David talking to a guy about his piereced cock. Lame. I didn't want a documentary on piercings, I wanted a fuck film! This is #1 in the series so maybe the producers will learn from their mistakes and they'll get better as the series goes on. I'd rent it first though. Like I said the lighting is off and the audio isn't the best either with inaudible sounds and voices. If you've ever worked with a home video camera you know what I mean.

The DVD includes some lesbian trailers and one gay one that shows nothing and is like 2 minutes long, a photo gallery, and an infomercial for Peter North's Secret, some herbal supplement that he claims helps him deliver his famous cum shots. Actually the best part of this film is seeing Peter cum in a couple of scenes during his ad! Anyway, a good idea, gone bad.
